Closing of PKPA FH UGM: FH UGM Alumni Are Problem Solvers

On Wednesday (4/5), the Special Education for the Advocate Profession (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat/PKPA) organized by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) in collaboration with the National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Dewan Pimpinan Nasional Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia/DPN Peradi) was officially concluded. The closing ceremony of the second PKPA session in 2016 was held in Room III.1.1 of the Faculty of Law UGM. The second PKPA session of 2016 was attended by 37 participants. Upon completing the program, participants received certificates confirming their participation in the FH UGM PKPA program. Following the ceremony, participants gathered for a group photograph and dinner.

            In his remarks, Zahru Arqom, S.H., M.H.Lit., Deputy Chair of PKPA FH UGM, expressed the program’s readiness to assist PKPA FH UGM graduates in preparing for the advocate examination. He hoped that the knowledge and experience gained during the program would prove useful to the participants. “Both in terms of their expectations for gaining knowledge and their expectations of passing the examination,” he added. Zahru also reminded the participants that completing PKPA was only the first step toward becoming an advocate. Meanwhile, Tulus Marbun, S.H., one of the PKPA participants, shared his hopes after completing the program. “Hopefully, what we have been taught will be useful, and we will become increasingly successful and capable lawyers,” he said.

            The event was closed by Dr. Sulastriyono, S.H., M.Si., Vice Dean for Research and Community Service. In his remarks, he emphasized that PKPA FH UGM participants should remain committed to the values associated with Gadjah Mada. Sulastriyono added, “You are now alumni of the Faculty of Law UGM; FH UGM alumni are problem solvers.” (Fardi)
