FH UGM, in collaboration with PERADI RBA (an Indonesian advocates' association), held the Special Education Program for the Legal Profession (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat / PKPA), Batch VI, for 2022. The program was supported by experienced instructors drawn from both academia and legal practice, including tax law expert Fadhilatul Hikmah, S.H., LL.M.; constitutional law expert Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M.; and criminal law expert Sri Wiyanti E., S.H., LL.M.(HR), Ph.D. Also involved were PERADI's Secretary General, Imam Hidayat, S.H., M.H., and PERADI's General Chairman, Dr. Luhut M.P. Pangaribuan, S.H., LL.M.
The PKPA opening ceremony was held online on Monday, November 21, 2022, led by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at FH UGM, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., representing the Dean. The opening event also featured remarks from the Head of the PKPA Organizing Committee, Ardianto Budi Rahmawan, S.H., LL.M., and from the Deputy Chairman of PERADI's Governing Board, H. Syahrizal Effendi Damanik, S.H., M.H., representing PERADI's General Chairman.
"Hopefully, this event can be carried out well and organized properly, so that participants can become advocates who can compete amidst the extraordinary competition in this era," said Syahfrizal in his remarks. Syahfrizal also explained that PERADI RBA has now been ratified by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, making it the only PERADI that is expected to be able to educate great advocates in the future.
Following the opening ceremony, the program moved into its first class session, held online from Monday, November 21, through Sunday, December 3, 2022.
