Doctoral Law Study Program Faculty of Law UGM just welcomed Universitas Pelita Harapan for comparative study on Friday (5/7/2024), located in Room B.5.5.. This comparative study was aimed for both study program managements to do a transfer of knowledge regarding managing the study program including the Operational Curriculum comparison that applied to the comparative universities, which between PDIH FH UPH and PDIH FH UGM.
In this opportunity, Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. presented the profile for PDIH UGM that consisted of the vision & mission, graduates profile, curriculum, and study program governance aimed at maintaining and improving the quality of graduates. This comparative study then continued with the discussion regarding the procedure and mechanism for accepting new students, governance, and the procedures to encourage doctoral students to graduate on time with dissertation research results that fulfill the elements of novelty and are able to contribute to the development of national law, both theoretically and practically.
Through this comparative study, PDIH FH UPH expected to absorb and implement the new lessons that obtained from PDIH FH UGM. Lessons that are taken are such the experience in operational curriculum development and the lecturing method, lecturer and students’ research, creating and developing academic condition, and learning outcomes related to the implementation of exams that must be taken by law doctoral students.
By this comparative study visit, PDIH FH UGM had implemented the 4th goal of SDGs (Quality Education) and 17th goal of SDGs (Partnership for the Goals).
