On Sunday (February 23, 2025), the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) held a “Kids Corner Story Sharing” event attended by children from the FH UGM academic community, with the theme “Be a Star in Everything You Do.” The event was attended by students from Sekolah Murid Merdeka (SMM) Kotabaru and featured two guest speakers: Syakirina and Dinu—better known as Syakirinu.
During the “Kids Corner Story Sharing” event, the children participated in storytelling, singing together, answering quizzes, and engaging in interactive activities led by Syakirinu. Later, together with SMM Kotabaru, the children had the opportunity to play through sensory play, coloring, and other activities. This event aligns with SDG 4, “Quality Education,” particularly for children who are part of the extended FH UGM family.
The purpose of this event is not limited to simply organizing a fun activity, but also encompasses various important aspects related to education and program outreach. This event aims to provide an engaging and enriching space for the children of the UGM Faculty of Law academic community and guests invited to the 79th Anniversary of the UGM Faculty of Law. By organizing creative and interactive events, this initiative is expected to provide opportunities for children in the FH UGM community to learn through play in an environment that supports their development.
In addition, this initiative also aims to introduce the Kids Corner program to the FH UGM academic community so that faculty members, staff, and students can become more familiar with the UGM Faculty of Law’s Kids Corner. Through this event, the academic community is encouraged to engage with the resources provided to support the growth and development of children in the UGM Faculty of Law community.
