Prof. Jürgen Bröhmer revisited the Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) after previously attending as a guest lecturer two years earlier. On Thursday (17/3), the Dean of Murdoch University School of Law initiated a cooperation between Murdoch University and UGM, particularly between Murdoch University School of Law and FH UGM. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was then signed at approximately 10:00 WIB by Prof. Jürgen Bröhmer and Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., Dean of FH UGM.
The MoU essentially contains a broad cooperation framework that will be implemented in the future, such as student exchanges, comparative studies, training programs, academic collaborations, research activities, and the possibility of establishing a dual degree program. The implementation details of the MoU will certainly be further communicated in the future. “Going forward, we plan to create a kind of cooperation agreement with Murdoch University to facilitate student exchanges from the Faculty of Law UGM to Murdoch University School of Law,” explained Alfatika Aunuriella Dini, S.H., M.Kn., Head of the Cooperation Unit of FH UGM.
This MoU aligns with one of the visions of the Faculty of Law UGM, namely establishing cooperation with national and international institutions. Its implementation will provide greater opportunities for FH UGM students to experience studying in Perth, Western Australia. Following the signing of the MoU, FH UGM students were given the opportunity to attend a short lecture delivered by Prof. Jürgen Bröhmer. The lecture, which discussed European Union Law, was conducted in two sessions from 13:00 to 15:00 WIB. (Lita/Fitri)
