The Faculty of Law Library at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) is one of Indonesia's premier specialist law libraries, with a comprehensive and extensive collection covering both national and international legal resources. Holdings include a wide range of legal literature, statutes and regulations, court decisions, academic journals, textbooks, and scholarly works produced by the FH UGM academic community. To broaden access and improve convenience, the library has also developed a digital collection that can be accessed online by all users.
In keeping with its vision as a source of information supporting internationally standard teaching and research, the FH UGM Library is committed to applying the principle of social inclusion across all its services. As such, the library's services are not limited to the UGM academic community — they are also open to the general public who require legal reference materials for educational, research, or knowledge-development purposes.
Visitors from outside UGM are welcome, subject to the following conditions:
- Visitors may only read materials on-site and are not permitted to borrow items from the collection.
- Pengunjung hanya dapat membaca di tempat dan tidak diperkenankan meminjam koleksi.
- Specialist services such as ETD, plagiarism checking, Carell Room, Discussion Room, and access to subscription-based journals are reserved exclusively for members of the UGM academic community.
- Visitors are required to comply with all applicable library regulations
- Violations of these regulations may result in sanctions in accordance with applicable rules
With friendly service, convenient access, and continuously improving information technology support, the FH UGM Library is committed to serving as an inclusive, collaborative, and widely beneficial legal reference centre for all members of society.
This effort is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), which emphasizes the importance of broad and inclusive access to knowledge; SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), which promotes equal access for all; and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), which supports the creation of inclusive, safe, and sustainable public spaces for all members of society.
Through open and equitable services, the FH UGM Faculty of Law Library continues to strengthen its role as a bridge of legal knowledge making a meaningful contribution to the development of a society that is informed, just, and sustainable.
