FH UGM Holds Arts Appreciation Night for Its 73rd Anniversary
As part of its 73rd anniversary celebration, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) held an arts appreciation night to entertain members of the academic community and alumni, as well as to recognize students for their achievements. The event was held on Saturday, 16 February 2019, at FH UGM.
The evening began with performances by student bands, namely Abinawa, AFI, and ALSA Singer. The event continued with musical performances by Prof. Dr. Edward O.S. Hiariej, S.H., M.Hum.; Dr. Hendry Julian Noor, S.H., M.Kn.; Nabiyla Risfa Izzati, S.H., LL.M. (Adv); and Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. The evening was further enlivened by a poetry reading by Laras Susanti, S.H., LL.M. and a stand-up comedy performance by Muhammad Fatahillah Akbar, S.H., LL.M. The FH UGM Alumni Association and the Dean of the Vocational College also joined the celebration, accompanied by Gama Band.
The event also featured an awards ceremony recognizing students for their achievements in various competitions and academic accomplishments. The awards were presented to Alexandra Geradina Maretta, Lea Evanty Andriany, Eflin Minar Modesta Gultom, and Fathkur Hafizh. The arts appreciation night reached its highlight with a performance by the Indonesian band Letto, which brought the 73rd anniversary celebration to a memorable close. – SIP
