On Thursday, August 1, 2024, Pionir Justicia 2024 featured an introduction session for the various autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, and student communities within the UGM Faculty of Law. The lively session gave the Justicia Muda an opportunity to discover the breadth of organizations and communities active within the faculty. It also formed part of the two-day Pionir Justicia program.
The session featured brief presentations from each organization. The Faculty of Law has one Autonomous Body (Lembaga Otonom/LO): the Justicia Student Council (Dewan Mahasiswa/DEMA Justicia). Semi-autonomous bodies (Lembaga Semi Otonom/LSO) that participated include ALSA UGM (Asian Law Students' Association) and BPPM Mahkamah (the student press organization). Student communities rounding out the lineup included the Business Law Community (BLC), Satria Paramartha (the moot court organization), Justicia Basketball Club (JBC), and Justicia Football Club (JFC).
Religious and cultural LSOs were also represented: the Islamic Law Forum (ILF), Keluarga Muslim FH UGM, Keluarga Mahasiswa Katolik (KMK), and Persekutuan Mahasiswa Kristen (PMK) each introduced their activities and programs. Arts organizations Sanggar Kesenian Apakah, Majestic-55, and Ultras Justicia rounded out the session, showcasing their creativity and spirit.
The introduction session gave each organization a platform to attract the interest of the Justicia Muda. The new students were visibly enthusiastic about the information shared and engaged eagerly with representatives from each body and community.
With this session concluded successfully, it is hoped that students will gain a stronger understanding of the structure and opportunities available at the UGM Faculty of Law and will actively take part in the various activities on offer. The event also reflects the faculty's commitment to supporting student development through a rich ecosystem of organizations and communities.
