FH UGM, in collaboration with its Law Career Development Center (LCDC), held Career Days 2022 from Friday, November 11 through Saturday, November 12, 2022. The event took place in the Bulaksumur Room at UC Hotel UGM, running from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. On the first day, 618 participants attended, with enthusiasm growing on the second day, which drew 888 attendees.
Career Days 2022 featured 25 partner organizations of the Faculty of Law, divided into three tiers: Platinum Partners, Diamond Partners, and Regular Partners. Platinum Partners included BRI, ID Food, Bank BTN, Pertamina, and MIND ID. Diamond Partners included Telkom Indonesia, HHP Law Firm, Krakatau Steel, Bank Mandiri, BNI, Jasa Marga, Bio Farma, Pelindo, Indonesia Financial Group, Pupuk Indonesia, Telkomsel, PPA, and KAI. Regular Partners included Ginting & Reksodipuro, UMBRA, PT Pindad, PT PAL, PT Angkasa Pura I, SAPDA, and MHP.
Not only Company Booth, Career Days 2022 also featured a Sharing Session covering different aspects of the working world. The Sharing Session run over both days. On the first day (Friday, November 11), the Sharing Session was led by MIND ID, BRI, PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia, and HHP Law Firm. On the second day (Saturday, November 12), sessions featured Telkomsel, Pertamina, and state-owned enterprises Telkom, PT PPA, and BNI.
Career Day is an annual event organized by LCDC FH UGM. In 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held online and limited to Faculty of Law students and alumni. This year, however, the event was open to all students and alumni of Universitas Gadjah Mada, free of charge.
"Hopefully, the goal of holding this 2022 Career Days will be achieved, which is to provide students and graduates with the tools to prepare themselves for the working world. This means that students will get an overview of employment opportunities and what the real working environment is like," said the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., while opening the Career Days 2022 series.
