On Friday, October 21, 2022, as part of an ongoing legal outreach partnership with the Sleman IIB Correctional Facility (Lapas), FH UGM's Legal Consultation and Aid Center (PKBH) sent two lecturers to serve as speakers for October's session: Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum., and Dr. Mahaarum Kusuma Pertiwi, S.H., M.A., M.Phil. *Dr. Ninik Darmini presented on Consumer Protection in the Era of Digital Transactions, covering topics including how the relationship between consumers and sellers has shifted from conventional to digital forms, the practical benefits and safety of digital developments, the need for caution in online transactions, and questions of liability when problems arise from online transactions. She was followed by Dr. Mahaarum Kusuma Pertiwi, who spoke on the Right to Privacy from a Human Rights Perspective, covering the distinction between rights and obligations, the definition of human rights, and the difference between absolute and non-absolute categories of human rights.
Before the session closed at 11:00 AM, there was a discussion segment where inmates asked the speakers questions related to the material presented, with the aim of deepening their understanding of basic legal concepts.
