UGM committed to strengthen their identity as the World Class Research University (WCU). This is evidenced by visits by UGM delegations to various prestigious schools abroad. One such visit by a UGM delegation was to Maharlika International School in Timor-Leste, which took place on Tuesday (November 5, 2024).
The Indonesian delegation was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D. During the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UGM was accompanied by other members of the delegation, including the Head of the Doctoral Program in Legal Studies, Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL. M., M.A., the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Law, Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., and the Chair of the Partnership and Development Unit, Andika Putra, S.H., M.H., LL.M.
During this visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UGM offered scholarships to the top graduates of Maharlika International School in Timor-Leste so they could pursue undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University.
Meanwhile, the visit and the proposal for collaboration from the Faculty of Law at UGM were warmly welcomed by the Vice Principal. During the visit, the Vice Principal confirmed that he would share information about the scholarship opportunity with all students at Maharlika International School.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law at UGM hopes that this collaboration will further strengthen the relationship between the two institutions, with support from Maharlika International School Timor-Leste to send its best students.
