FPPH Palapa the UGM Faculty of Law's research and legal writing organization, is not only active in research and writing, but also serves as a key facilitator for the Student Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa/PKM) at the Faculty of Law. PKM is a national platform designed to cultivate, channel, and realize the creative and innovative potential of students across Indonesian universities. It has become one of the most fitting competitions for sharpening scientific reasoning and student creativity in the pursuit of practical solutions to real-world problems. For this reason, broader awareness of PKM among students is essential.
One of FPPH Palapa's initiatives to promote PKM is the "PKM 101" sharing session, held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The session featured three speakers: one PKM faculty supervisor and two students who had previously participated in and won the competition. The first speaker, Almonika Cindy Fatika Sari, S.H., M.A., explained PKM-RSH (Research in Social Humanities) the PKM category most commonly entered by law students and walked participants through how to determine a topic and the steps involved in completing a PKM submission. The two student speakers, Herkin Yossyafaat and Alfatania Sekar Ismaya, shared their personal experiences and tips for participating in and winning PKM competitions.
The sharing session concluded with an open Q&A, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across multiple year groups at the Faculty of Law. Many were keen to understand what it takes to enter and succeed in PKM-RSH.
