UGM Faculty of Law Graduates 76 Undergraduates, Promotes the Role of Law and Quality Education in Achieving the SDGs

The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) held the Graduation Ceremony for the Third Batch of Undergraduate Students for the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Wednesday (May 28, 2025). The event was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., and took place in a solemn yet spirited and proud atmosphere. This event marked an important milestone in the students’ academic journey and the beginning of their service to the community.

A total of 76 graduates participated in this commencement ceremony. Of that number, 62 received honors, while the remaining 14 received a grade of “highly satisfactory.” These achievements reflect the students’ commitment to successfully completing their studies despite various challenges.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of transcripts to the graduates. Graduates who received honors received their transcripts from Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., Chair of the Law Program, while the subsequent presentations were made by Dr. Dian Agung Wicaksono, S.H., LL.M., Secretary of the Program. This presentation serves as a symbol of recognition for the academic achievements attained by the graduates.

At this commencement ceremony, Dylan Jesse Andrian was recognized as the graduate with the highest GPA of 3.97. Muhammad Habib Nur Haqiqi earned the distinction of completing his studies in the shortest time—3 years and 5 months. Meanwhile, Gladys Larasati Yuliantoro was the youngest graduate at 20 years and 5 months old, demonstrating that academic achievement knows no age limits.

Mauren Theresia Situmorang, who had the second-highest GPA, was chosen to deliver the student address. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, social awareness, and a commitment to lifelong learning. She also urged her peers to continue contributing to the development of a just and civilized society through a legal approach that upholds the truth.

This graduation ceremony reflects the UGM Faculty of Law’s tangible support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Through high-quality legal education grounded in integrity, FH UGM makes a significant contribution to fostering a society that is legally aware and upholds the values of justice. Inclusive and equitable education serves as the foundation for developing high-quality human resources capable of competing on the global stage.

The Faculty of Law at UGM is committed to continuing to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also globally minded and sustainability-oriented. As part of a higher education institution, the faculty plays an active role in supporting the achievement of the SDGs through teaching, research, and community service. Today’s graduates are agents of change who will bring legal values and the spirit of quality education to address the world’s increasingly complex challenges.
