On Tuesday (13/12), a Cooperation Agreement (Perjanjian Kerja Sama/PKS) signing ceremony took place between the Faculty of Law of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) and the Faculty of Law of Universitas Jambi (FH UNJA), held in the AR Fuad Bafadhal Room at FH Universitas Jambi. The agreement covers cooperation in education, research, and community service, with a scope that includes: developing joint courses, student exchange under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM/"Freedom to Learn — Independent Campus") program, organizing lectures involving visiting/guest lecturers, and joint research and publications, among other activities.
The proceedings commenced with an address from Dr. Usman, S.H., M.H., the Dean of FH UNJA, who highlighted the extensive possibilities for institutional synergy, specifically regarding the engagement of guest lecturers and the production of collaborative academic journals.
The Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., stated that this formal engagement was designed to solidify bonds within the BKS-FH-PTN network (the Association of Indonesian State Law Faculty Deans). She characterized the PKS signing as a foundational milestone intended to foster institutional synergy and cultivate more intimate connections between the two academic departments.
The gathering at FH UNJA featured a delegation from FH UGM led by Dean Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., accompanied by Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Cooperation), Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M. (Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources), and Taufiq Adiyanto, S.H., LL.M., who serves as Head of the Partnership and Development Unit. Representing FH UNJA were Dean Dr. Usman, S.H., M.H., alongside Dr. Muskibah, S.H., M.Hum. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Cooperation and Information Systems), and Dr. Umar, S.H., M.H. (Vice Dean for General Affairs, Planning and Finance), in the presence of several other academic faculty members.
