East Nusa Tenggara – (Friday, 19/09/2025) On the fourth day of the series of superior community service activities in East Nusa Tenggara, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), through the Legal Aid and Consultation Center (PKBH), visited the Faculty of Law, Universitas Nusa Cendana (FH Undana) to initiate potential collaboration. The FH UGM team consisted of Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Dr. Dra. Dani Krisnawati, S.H., M.Hum., Head of PKBH and Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, and Sahl Radian Setyaki, representing PKBH part-timers. At FH Undana, the team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Simplexius Asa, S.H., M.H., Dean of FH Undana, Dr. Orpa J. Nubatonis, S.H., M.Hum., Vice Dean of FH Undana, and Gerald Aldytia Bunga, S.H., LL.M., Lecturer of FH Undana.
The visit, held from 10:00–11:00 WITA, focused on initiating collaboration between FH UGM and FH Undana in implementing the Tri Dharma of higher education. The main discussion centered on community service initiatives in border areas, involving collaboration among multiple stakeholders in a multi-helix model. More than just a visit, the discussion produced constructive feedback and strong support from both parties as a form of expanding cooperation and strengthening ties between the two law faculties. The conversation also touched upon academic knowledge exchange, enriching insights for both institutions, particularly in academic development.

This initiative is closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this collaboration, FH UGM and FH Undana contribute to SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering academic exchange and creating relevant educational practices to meet societal needs. Furthermore, the initiative supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by promoting legal capacity-building in border regions. It also embodies SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting the importance of inter-university collaboration within a multi-helix network aimed at impactful community service. Thus, this visit not only strengthens academic cooperation but also represents a concrete step toward advancing sustainable development.
