The Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., signed a Cooperation Agreement with the President of the University of Groningen, Prof. Jouke de Vries. The signing was witnessed by the Director of the Groningen Graduate School in Law GGSL, Prof. Albertjan Tollenaar. The agreement, covering a double-degree between the Faculty of Law of UGM Univesity of Groningen , was signed on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Room III.1.1 at FH UGM.
Both institutions welcomed the partnership. With the improving post-pandemic situation since 2020, the agreement also opens the door to in-person student exchange going forward.
"For years, the Faculty of Law at UGM has strived to provide the best legal education in Indonesia. I believe that with globalization, cooperation with universities from other countries is no longer an option, but a necessity. Therefore, the signing of this cooperation agreement symbolizes a partnership between the two institutions that is expected to pave the way for other collaborations," stated Dahliana Hasan in her remarks.
In his remarks, Prof. Jouke de Vries expressed his gratitude, “Today we are signing a cooperation agreement because there was previously a program between the Faculty of Law UGM and the Faculty of Law (at the University of Groningen). So I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this partnership, both from the Faculty of Law UGM and the Faculty of Law (at the University of Groningen), as well as the professors who have helped make this partnership happen. Thank you.”
