Thursday, (23/1/2025), Faculty of Law UGM took a significant step in promoting the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) by visiting the Zimbabwe Embassy in Jakarta. The delegation that was led by Diantika Rindam Floranti, S.H., LL.M., one of the lecturer from Faculty of Law UGM, aimed to improve the education collaboration and increase the registrant from Zimbabwe.
This meeting was started with the warm welcome remarks from the Zimbabwe Embassy for Indonesia, with expressed their appreciation towards UGM’s initiative. They emphasized on the importance of education in building an international relationship and development, aligned with the UN’s SDGs especially the 4th goal on ensuring the qualified and inclusive education.
Diantika Rindam Floranti presented the general description of the IUP program, highlighting the curriculum that was designed to prepare the students to the global perspective regarding the legal issues. This program is conducted in full-english, therefore, the International students can access the program, including the prospective students from Zimbabwe. This approach was not only to promote the diversity of education, but also to support the cross-cultural understanding.
This initiation by Faculty of Law UGM was a proof of their commitment in promoting a qualified education and pushing the international partnership. By approaching the Zimbabwe Embassy, UGM was not only showcasing their existence in global eyes but also contributing to the fulfillment of SDGs through education.
