UGM’s Faculty of Law Hosts “Work-Life Balance” Webinar to Support the Mental Health of Academic and Administrative Staff

The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM), through its Health Promoting University (HPU) unit, held a health literacy webinar titled “Balancing Work and Life: Work-Life Integration” on Friday (October 10, 2025). This event was aimed at educational staff as an effort to raise awareness of the importance of balancing work and personal life in maintaining mental health.

The webinar featured Teresa Indira Andani, M.Psi., Psychologist, a clinical psychologist specializing in adults, as the guest speaker. Teresa was joined by Dysti Amityapats Alfiani Putri, M.Psi., Psychologist, an in-house psychologist at the Faculty of Law, UGM, who served as the moderator. In her presentation, Teresa emphasized that integrating work and personal life does not mean working without time limits, but rather creating harmony so that both aspects support each other and provide meaning. Participants were guided to recognize safe emotional boundaries, manage stress, and apply self-care strategies across various aspects—including physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Additionally, the webinar highlighted the importance of micro-breaks and mindful pauses as simple ways to maintain focus and well-being while working.

This webinar is part of the UGM Faculty of Law’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by emphasizing the importance of mental health as an integral part of the productivity and well-being of educational staff. Through this initiative, the UGM Faculty of Law strives to build a healthy, harmonious, and sustainable work environment for the entire academic community.
