Supporting Inclusivity and Sustainability, Head of Civil Law Department Faculty of Law UGM Attending APU CIL Conference in Osaka, Japan

Head of Civil Law Department Faculty of Law UGM, R. A. Antara Inaka Turningsih (Dr., S.H., M.H) participated in The Center for Inclusive Leadership Conference that was held by Asia Pacific University (APU) with the theme “Inclusion X Sustainability”. This conference was conducted in Osaka, Japan, for 2 days (1-2/06/2024).

This conference was attended by the scholars and experts in various disciplines to address the issue related to inclusion and sustainability.

At the conference, Antari attended several sessions that focused on the role of law in supporting inclusivity, especially in the field of civil law. She actively participated in the discussion and sharing insights on the importance of creating an inclusive and responsive legal system towards the global challenges. This participation gives an opportunity to expand a professional networking and receiving new ideas that relevant for the development of law and education.

Antari’s participation is related to several points of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as the 4th goal of SDGs on emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in supporting quality education, 10th goal of SDGs that focuses on reducing social and economic inequalities through an inclusive policy, and the 16th goal of SDGs on highlighting the importance of creating a strong and justice legal institutions. Her attendance in this conference gives a new insight on how inclusivity and sustainability can be integrated into a legal system, strengthening the inclusivity relevance in policies development in the future.
