The Civil Law Department of the UGM Faculty of Law held a meeting with the Paser Regency Government on Tuesday (November 28, 2023). The meeting was held to discuss the process of novation for the management contract of the regency-owned hotel.
This hotel management contract represents a strategic move by the Paser Regency Government involving a third party. The primary objective is to maximize the government’s role in managing regional assets, with the hope of improving the hotel’s services and ensuring its sustainability. The meeting, which took place in Paser, created a platform for dialogue between the two parties to discuss key aspects related to the hotel’s management.
The outcome of this meeting took the form of a legal opinion, affirming a strong legal foundation for the implementation of the contract. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that third-party management of the hotel will have a positive impact on public services and regional growth.
The partnership between the Department of Civil Law at the UGM Faculty of Law and the Paser Regency Government is expected to serve as a model of successful collaboration in optimizing the use of regional assets. This initiative is expected to foster positive synergy that will benefit the community and drive regional development. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 8 on economic growth and Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities.
