FH UGM Delegation Wins First Place and Best Contract at NBLT 2026, Asserting Excellence in Contract Drafting and Negotiation

Another proud achievement for students of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM). The FH UGM delegation — comprising Athar Rifqi Rabbani (2024) as team leader, and Abelia Marstelda (2024), Najwa Zayn (2024), Giasinta Anra Desvella (2024), Dominikus Evan Wisnu Aji (2024), and Jessica Olivia Wulandari Riyanto (2024) as members — claimed First Place and Best Contract in the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition at the 6th National Business Legal Talk (NBLT) 2026. The team represents the Business Law Community (BLC) of FH UGM.

The national competition was organized by the Business Law Society of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sebelas Maret, under the theme “The Intellectual Property Legal Framework as an Intangible Asset in the Business Landscape". In the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition category, participants were assessed on their ability to draft a contract document based on a given case study and to conduct a professional negotiation simulation — demanding precision in legal analysis, the construction of contractual clauses, and a comprehensive negotiation strategy.

The UGM delegation demonstrated clear superiority in the substantive quality of the contract, the structure of the agreement, and their negotiation skills — earning both First Place and the Best Contract award as the team with the highest-scoring contract document.

This achievement also reflects UGM\'s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the strengthening of students\' academic competencies; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through the development of legal practice that is just and oriented toward legal certainty; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the synergy between educational institutions and the national legal community.

This achievement stands as proof of UGM\'s commitment to developing law students who are academically excellent, professionally capable, and adaptive to the dynamics of business law and the digital economic transformation.
