The National Legal Opinion Competition (NLOC) 2024, a research-based legal writing competition organized by the Moot Court Community of the Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Law (KPS FH Unair) in collaboration with the Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Law Student Executive Board (BEM FH Unair), is designed to give law students across Indonesia the opportunity to develop their academic skills — particularly in analyzing and writing legal opinions on specific issues.
This year, with elections very much in the national spotlight, the organizing committee chose the theme "Law Enforcement in the Resolution of Electoral Disputes." The UGM Faculty of Law entered a delegation comprising Narandra Adhika Rizaldi (Class of 2022) and Reza Saputra (Class of 2022), competing as Team 12 - Subekti.
The NLOC 2024 series officially began with the release of the Case Position on Tuesday (23/7/2024), marking the start of the preliminary round, during which delegates were required to prepare their case submissions. The submission process concluded on Wednesday (14/8/2024), which marked the deadline for document submission. All delegates were therefore required to submit soft copies of their completed files via email to the organizing committee. The competition then proceeded with the announcement of the finalists on Sunday (14/9/2024). Representing FH UGM, Team 12 – Subekti successfully advanced to the final round, competing alongside 35 other teams in a highly competitive contest.
