On Thursday (September 5, 2024), the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Dahliana Hasan., S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., received a visit from the Head of the Yogyakarta Regional State Intelligence Agency (KABINDA DIY), Brigadier General Rachmad Puji Susetyo., S.IP., M.Si. This visit initiated a collaboration between the UGM Faculty of Law and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in the field of education. This educational collaboration demonstrates the commitment of the UGM Faculty of Law, particularly the Master's Program, to developing superior human resources.
Brigadier General Rachmad stated that BIN has a State Intelligence School (STIN). However, scientific development outside the intelligence field is essential. This makes the collaboration between the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the UGM Faculty of Law crucial. The Medical Intelligence program being developed at BIN urgently requires competent human resources in the field of health law. The development of medical intelligence must be in line with sound legal skills. Rachmad also hopes that this educational collaboration will expand into research and community service in the future.
The Master of Health Law program at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), is the first in Indonesia to offer an M.H.Kes. Health Law is a multidisciplinary science that combines health and law. The faculty members are experts in their fields and experienced practitioners. The Dean of the Faculty of Law explained that the Master of Health Law program is the newest program in the Faculty of Law, ensuring continuous quality improvements. The initiation meeting for the educational collaboration went well. Both parties agreed that the collaborative programs would benefit both parties and the Indonesian people.
