PIONIR Justicia 2026 Officially Launched: FH UGM Welcomes Hundreds of New Undergraduate Students

The Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) officially launched the PIONIR Justicia 2026 orientation series in front of the Statue of Lady Justice on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The new student orientation and campus life introduction program carries the overarching theme "POROS Justicia: With Reason, Toward Meaningful Action."

In the 2026/2027 Academic Year, FH UGM welcomed 425 new undergraduate students, comprising students from the Regular Program and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). All new students took part in PIONIR Justicia as the first step in getting to know the academic environment, the faculty's values, and campus life at FH UGM.

The opening of PIONIR Justicia 2026 commenced with a welcoming address from the General Coordinator of PIONIR Justicia 2026, Kenny Alviano Surya A. This was followed by an address from the Cluster Coordinator of PIONIR Justicia 2026, Nabiyla Risfa Izzati, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., who delivered the program's implementation report.

Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., then delivered her address and shared a message with the new students — encouraging them to pursue their learning journey with full integrity, to hold firmly to the values of morality and justice, and to carry a spirit of genuine contribution to society. The series of opening addresses was closed by the Chair of the UGM Faculty of Law Undergraduate Program, Dr. Khotibul Umam, S.H., LL.M., who introduced the Undergraduate Program and gave students a picture of the academic journey that awaits them at the Faculty of Law.

The culminating moment of the PIONIR Justicia 2026 opening ceremony was a symbolic ceremony presided over by the Dean of FH UGM. The ceremony was marked by the placement of co-cards on two representatives of the new students symbolizing the beginning of their academic journey at the UGM Faculty of Law.

Following the opening ceremony, all participants attended the Faculty Introduction Seminar at the Auditorium of Building B, FH UGM. The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the history, vision and mission, organizational structure, learning system, academic services, and academic culture that form the identity of the UGM Faculty of Law. During this session, new students were also introduced to the 11 departments within FH UGM, along with the heads of the administrative offices, coordinators, and faculty staff.

PIONIR Justicia 2026 marks the first step for new students in getting to know and internalizing the fundamental values of justice, diversity, and intellectual spirit that define the character of FH UGM. The implementation of PIONIR Justicia 2026 also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the delivery of inclusive and high-quality education.
