Testing Skills and Sportsmanship: FH UGM Table Tennis Competition Enlivens Anniversary Celebration

As part of the series of events commemorating the 80th Anniversary (16th Lustrum) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), the Faculty successfully held a Table Tennis Competition on Friday (6/2/2026) at the Wellness Center, Building IV. The competition brought together members of the FH UGM academic community, including faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

The tournament featured two categories: Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles. Matches were played in a spirited atmosphere that upheld the values of sportsmanship and fair competition. Participants demonstrated their best performances throughout the tournament, creating an exciting and healthy competitive environment.

The winners of the Table Tennis Competition were as follows:

Women’s Singles

  • 1st Place: Fitriani (Master of Laws Program Student)
  • Juara 2: Theresia Kurnia Arini Putranti (Tenaga Kependidikan)

Men’s Singles

  • 1st Place: Agus Sudaryanto (Faculty Member)
  • 2nd Place: Achmad Jaelani Yusuf (Master of Business Law and Constitutional Law Program Student)

The winners were officially announced during the Justicia Fun Run event held on Saturday (14/2/2026). The competition was organized to foster sportsmanship and strengthen camaraderie among members of the FH UGM community. Beyond serving as a platform for healthy competition, the event also encouraged participants to develop their skills, agility, and awareness of the importance of maintaining physical well-being through sports and exercise.

This activity aligns with the Faculty’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), by promoting physical activity and encouraging healthy lifestyles within the academic community.
