Corruption Prevention in the Management of Village Revenue and Expenditure Budgets

Efforts to prevent corruption at the village level continue to be strengthened through public education activities targeting village officials and the general public. One of the strategic steps taken is legal counselling on the importance of anti-corruption principles in the management of the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBKal).

This public education aims to increase the awareness of the village community so that they can play an active role in monitoring and controlling potential corrupt practices in the management of APBKal. With increased public understanding of the principles of transparency, accountability, and participation, it is hoped that corrupt practices at the village level can be prevented and detected early so as not to cause significant losses to the community.

This legal outreach activity was held in the form of a live broadcast on TVRI Yogyakarta on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at 09.00 WIB, with the theme ‘Prevention of Corruption in the Management of Village Revenue and Expenditure Budgets.’ The target audience for this activity was students and representatives of the general public.

The following individuals were present as speakers at this event, Hasrul Halili, S.H., M.A., Secretary of PUKAT, Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University; Yusnita Ike Christanti, Member of the IDEA Association; and Indira Anggraini Zachriyan, Directorate of Education Networks, Corruption Eradication Commission

This legal outreach program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by strengthening transparency, accountability, and public participation in village budget management. It also supports SDG 4 on Quality Education by enhancing legal and anti-corruption literacy within the community to promote integrity-based village governance.
