The Master of Legal Studies (MIH) program at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM), once again held the Interactive Talkshow on MIH on Tuesday (May 27, 2025). Held online via Zoom, the event aimed to introduce the MIH and LL.M programs at FH UGM to the general public, particularly prospective students interested in pursuing advanced legal studies. The talk show featured program administrators, alumni, and current students as speakers who shared academic insights and firsthand learning experiences.
During the main session, Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M.(HR), Ph.D., and Rangga Dahlan, S.H., LL.M., M.Phil., D.Phil., as program coordinators, explained the curriculum structure, areas of specialization, and the learning philosophy that distinguish the UGM MIH program. This program is designed to address the dynamics of contemporary law, such as issues of digitalization, social justice, and developments in international law. Additionally, the session covered the admissions process for new students, available academic support, and MIH UGM’s strategies for producing graduates who are competitive both nationally and globally.
Alumni and current students such as Laurensia Andrini, Hanifah Febriani, Skolastika Probo Citaningrum, and Sukma Hadiwijaya shared their experiences regarding why they chose the UGM MIH/LL.M program, the challenges they faced during their studies, and the tangible contributions their legal education has made to their professional career development. The talk show also featured an interactive quiz session using the Quizizz platform and concluded with open consultations via breakout rooms divided into three booths: Academic & Curriculum, Management & Administration, and Students. Through this forum, participants were able to engage in direct dialogue with administrators and students to gain more in-depth information tailored to their individual needs.
More than just an introduction to the program, Interactive Talkshow Ke-MIH-an also reflects MIH FH UGM’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs). Through the provision of open and high-quality legal education, MIH UGM contributes to SDG 4 on quality education. This program also supports SDG 10 through the participation of students from diverse social and educational backgrounds, as well as SDG 16 by equipping graduates with legal knowledge to promote a fair, transparent, and accountable judicial system.
