On Tuesday (May 20, 2025), the UGM Faculty of Law, through its Legal Aid Consultation Center (PKBH), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) at the Anambas Islands Regency Office. This FGD was conducted to discuss legal and health issues in Anambas Islands Regency. The UGM Faculty of Law PKBH team, together with doctorSHARE and stakeholders in the Anambas Islands Regency, explored legal and health issues and problems that have occurred in the Anambas Islands Regency.
The team from the Legal Consultation and Assistance Center (PKBH) at the UGM Faculty of Law involved in this activity consists of several faculty members and support staff. Among them are Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., who also serves as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, and Dr. Richo Andi Wibowo, S.H., LL.M., from the Department of Administrative Law. Also present was Dr. Airin Liemanto, S.H., LL.M., from the Department of Customary Law, who also serves as the Second Secretary of PKBH, along with two part-time staff members: Adetia Surya Maulana and Ruth Jessieca Margareth Togar. On the other hand, the doctorSHARE team was represented by Tutuk Utomo Nuradhy as Chair of the Board and Executive Director, as well as Dr. Andromeda Murrata Putri, a doctorSHARE volunteer who is also an alumna of the Master of Health Law program at the UGM Faculty of Law.
The participants in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) represented various stakeholders in Anambas Islands Regency. They included the Regent, the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare, as well as the Head and Secretary of the Health, Population Control, and Family Planning Office. In addition, the Head of the Legal Division and the Head of the Goods and Services Procurement Division from the Regional Secretariat were also present. All Division Heads at the Health Office, Hospital Directors, and Heads of Community Health Centers within the jurisdiction of Anambas Islands Regency, particularly in Tarempa, Siantan District, also participated in the discussion.

An interactive discussion took place between the PKBH Team from the UGM Faculty of Law, the doctorSHARE Team, and the stakeholders of Anambas Islands Regency. Stakeholders from Anambas Islands Regency raised issues regarding the health services they have experienced so far, while the UGM Faculty of Law PKBH Team provided insights regarding legal regulations relevant to the context of these issues, and doctorSHARE shared their experiences in providing health services in hard-to-reach areas.
At the end of the discussion, the Assistant for Regional Government and Public Welfare of Anambas Islands Regency summarized the entire discussion and Q&A session. The Assistant for Government and Public Welfare of Anambas Islands Regency stated that in order to provide quality healthcare services in Anambas Islands Regency, all parties must work professionally and in accordance with existing regulations. In this way, all healthcare workers and government officials can serve as role models for the community and protect themselves as well.
This FGD is expected to support the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 on health, Goal 10 on reducing disparities in health care services in DTPK and 3T regions in Indonesia, and Goal 17 on strengthening partnerships to achieve better outcomes.
