On Thursday (11/14/2024), the Notary Student Association of the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (KMN FH UGM) and the Notary Masters Student Association of Diponegoro University (IMMK UNDIP) held a Campus Visit & National Seminar with the theme "Building a Career as a Young Notary: A Practical and Inspirational Guide." The National Seminar was attended by members of KMN FH UGM, IMMK UNDIP, and students of the Notary Masters Study Program at FH UGM.
The seminar began with participant registration, followed by an opening by the Master of Ceremony. This was followed by remarks from H. Siswoyo, S.H., M.Kn., Deputy Chair of the IKANOT UNDIP Central Board, and Anggita Mustika Dewi, S.H., M.Kn. as Assistant to the Head of the Master of Notary Studies Program, Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University. The seminar continued with presentations by Deasy Widya Sari, S.H., M.Kn. and Dr. Catharina Mulyani Santoso, S.H., Sp.N., M.H., as Notary/PPAT. The seminar was moderated by Dita Elvia Kusuma Putri, S.H., M.Kn.
During the seminar, Deasy discussed the stages of becoming a notary before and after 2024. She also discussed notarial practices (making deeds, binding minutes of deeds, monthly reports, annual audits), as well as the responsibilities and risks of being a notary. Meanwhile, Dr. Catharina presented material on notarial practices that must be carried out consistently and with integrity, while taking into account opportunity. The seminar concluded with the presentation of a plaque by Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I. as the Head of the Master of Notary Program, Faculty of Law, UGM, and H. Siswoyo, S.H., M.Kn., Deputy Chair of the Central Board of IKANOT UNDIP, presented the speakers and moderator, and concluded with a group photo session.
The next activity was a Campus Tour , guided by the KMN FH UGM Management. The IMMK UNDIP management were taken on a tour of the Faculty of Law, including Building B, the Statue of Dewi Justitia, the Justitia Canteen, and the Library.
This Campus Visit & National Seminar is expected to foster a strong partnership between IMMK UNDIP and KMN FH UGM, allowing for the initiation of other beneficial activities in the future. This activity aligns with point 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely quality education, and point 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely implementing partnerships to achieve goals.
