On Thursday (3/10/2024) the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) through the work unit of the Center for Consultation and Legal Aid of the Faculty of Law UGM (PKBH) and the Class IIB Women's Correctional Institution of Yogyakarta (LPP Yogyakarta) held a discussion regarding the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Free Legal Aid Facilitation Services at the LPP Yogyakarta.
In the discussion of this PKS, from the UGM Faculty of Law, it was attended by Mrs. Dr. Dra. Dani Krisnawati, S.H., M.Hum. as Chair of PKBH, Muhammad Jibril, S.H., M.PrivateLaw, as Secretary I of PKBH, the ranks of Part Timer PKBH, and the Department of Community Service for the Family of Master of Law Students. Meanwhile, from LPP Yogyakarta, it was attended by Mrs. Evi Loliancy as Head of the Class IIB Women's Correctional Institution in Yogyakarta along with the ranks of the LPP Yogyakarta management. The event began with an opening, remarks from PKBH FH UGM and LPP Yogyakarta, then discussions and discussions related to the PKS plan, handover of plaques and souvenirs, continued with a documentation and friendly session, and ended with a closing.
The collaborative synergy between the two institutions will continue to be maintained and improved to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service, better so that it can realize better legal services to the community.
The discussion of this PKS is also a means to improve the performance of community service of the Faculty of Law UGM at the LPP Yogyakarta. The scope of this PKS is planned to cover various work programs, namely free legal aid facilitation services from PKBH to prisoners or inmates of the LPP Yogyakarta. The implementation of this activity is an effort by the UGM Faculty of Law to realize the 16th point of the SDGs by realizing peace, justice, and building inclusive fostering institutions and the 17th point of the SDGs by building partnerships to achieve concrete and better goals.
