Faculty of Law Delegate has successfully wrote another history in the Lokali-MA scientific paper competition on Sunday (21/03/2023). This competition was held by Indonesian Supreme Court and in a collaboration with Faculty of Law Indonesia Al-Azhar University and AIPJ 2 (Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice 2). The delegates that consisted of Ayudya Pramesti (2020) and Tanti Mitasari (2020) successfully reached the 3rd position in the Students Category.
Before obtaining the third position, the delegates have been through several steps in the selection process, from the administration selection, substance selection, and presentation selection. Eventually, their papers are chosen as the 3rd best paper in total of 44 papers that written by students in universities in all around Indonesia.
This competition brought up the theme “Promoting National Competitiveness and Ease of Doing Business through Consistency of Commercial Case Decisions”. From the theme, the delegation took the topic of Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations and created a scientific paper entitled "Problems of Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU): Review of Applications by Policyholders Against Insurance Companies". In this case, both of them analyzed the inconsistency of court decisions on PKPU applications filed by policyholders.
Through all the prayers and the hard work, the team successfully carried out their best efforts for UGM. The victory of the team can not be separated from the support from many people. Hopefully, the students of Faculty of Law UGM can continuously achieve more achievements in the national competition and international competitions. This achievement also proving the quality of education in Faculty of Law UGM, aligned with the 4th goal of SDGs on education.
