The delegation from the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), successfully secured 3rd place in the Marvelaw UNNES Competition in the Legal Opinion category for 2023. The delegation, named Team Amethyst, consisted of Anggun Putri Nurussyifa (2019) and Helena Leonora Sasongko (2020). Throughout the competition, Team Amethyst received guidance from Nailul Amany, S.H., M.H. as their supervising lecturer.
This legal opinion competition was organized by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law UNNES. The theme for this category was slightly different from the main theme, focusing on “Economic Progressivity and the Effectiveness of Labor Law on the Protection and Fulfillment of Workers’ Rights in the Era of Society 5.0.” This category was participated in by 30 teams from various universities across Indonesia.
The competition consisted of two stages that participants had to pass: the document judging stage and the final presentation stage. In the document judging stage, Team Amethyst successfully prepared a Legal Opinion document that advanced them to the next stage. In the presentation stage, each qualifying team was required to explain the legal opinion they had prepared. In this competition, Team Amethyst achieved 3rd place.
This achievement is hoped to motivate UGM students to be more enthusiastic in achieving accomplishments in both legal and non-legal fields. All members of the UGM Law Faculty delegation expressed their gratitude for all the support and prayers received, which enabled them to achieve the best results for their beloved alma mater.
