About the Department of Environmental Law
The Department of Environmental Law is one of the eleven departments within the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The establishment of the Department reflects the Faculty’s response to the development of legal issues and societal needs, particularly in the field of environmental law. Through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Department specializes in teaching, research, and community service in the areas of law and the environment. The Department of Environmental Law is also a member of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law.
