Faculty Of Law Ugm Receives Appreciation From The High Prosecutor’s Office Of DIY For The Successful Implementation Of The First Term Of Suluh Praja Legal Education Program In 2025

On Monday, (10/3/2025), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Legal Consultation and Aid Center (PKBH), attended an invitation from the High Prosecutor’s Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Kejati DIY) to receive appreciation for the successful implementation of the Suluh Praja Legal Education Program – First Term of 2025. This program was conducted in 12 villages across DIY from February 24 to 27, 2025, in collaboration between lecturers from the Faculty of Law UGM and the State Attorney Team.

The initiative aligns with SDG Goal 16, which aims to build inclusive government institutions, and SDG Goal 17, which focuses on strengthening partnerships to achieve concrete and better outcomes. 

The event was attended by representatives from the Faculty of Law UGM, including Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems. Meanwhile, representatives from Kejati DIY included Ahelya Abustam, S.H., M.H., Head of Kejati DIY; Fanny Widyastuti, S.H., M.H., Assistant for Civil and State Administration Affairs (Datun) of Kejati DIY; and Dr. Putri Ayu Wulandari, S.H., M.H., Coordinator of the Datun Division at Kejati DIY.

During the event, Mrs. Ahelya Abustam, S.H., M.H., Head of Kejati DIY, received appreciation from the Faculty of Law UGM, represented by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., for the successful execution of the Suluh Praja Legal Education Program – First Term of 2025. The Head of Kejati DIY also awarded Suluh Praja Speaker Certificates to all Faculty of Law UGM lecturers who contributed as speakers in the program. The certificate distribution was represented by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., who also received a certificate of appreciation from Kejati DIY for his contribution as a speaker in the First Term of Suluh Praja 2025.
