A total of 92 out of 99 undergraduate law graduates took part in FH UGM's Send-off Ceremony for the fourth period of the 2021/2022 academic year, on Wednesday, August 25. This marked the first in-person undergraduate send-off ceremony held since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Held in the Auditorium of Building B at FH UGM, the ceremony was opened by Dean Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D. It continued with the presentation of academic transcripts to graduates who finished with honors, presented by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D.; Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M.; and Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A. Transcripts were then presented by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M.
The distinction of top graduate this period went to Annisa Ayu Alimatudzaqiyah, with a GPA of 3.90 and honors distinction. Beyond Annisa Ayu, 74 of the remaining 99 graduates also finished with honors.
The ceremony continued with remarks from Annisa Ayu, representing the graduates as the period's top performer. She expressed gratitude to fellow graduates, lecturers, and the wider academic community for their support throughout her studies, which ultimately led to her successful graduation as a law undergraduate.
The remarks were then continued by the representative of the graduates' parents, Warsiati, who advised, "Do not stop seeking knowledge. The true pursuit of knowledge is not only done at universities; there is much knowledge you can gain in society, both in cities and in villages. Keep learning. Keep your spirits high; your journey is still long. Whatever you become in the future, we as parents will always be proud of all of you, my children."
The Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, then gave her remarks, expressing pride that most graduates managed to finish with honors despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during their studies.
"Keep fighting. Because in that struggle, there will surely be a process that you will all remember—bitter, sweet, sour, and difficult. But you must go through it because these are the things that will shape you into a person of higher quality. Never give up on anything. Because all your struggles will surely bear fruit. Your struggle will surely achieve a true victory," remarked Dahliana Hasan before concluding her speech.
Congratulations to the graduates of FH UGM's undergraduate program, period IV. May the knowledge they've gained benefit others, as well as the nation and country.
