Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, visited the Dewan Mahasiswa (DEMA) Justicia of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, on May 26, 2025. This activity aimed to strengthen institutional relations between DEMA Justicia and BEM of Faculty of Law UNDIP, as well as to create a platform for exchanging information and experiences between the parties. Through this visit, it is expected that a productive discussion forum will emerge, focusing on organizational structure, flagship programs, and organizational management strategies.
The series of events consisted of three main sessions: a presentation session introducing each organization’s profile, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) addressing organizational issues and inter-departmental collaboration, and a Faculty Tour showcasing the academic environment and culture of the Faculty of Law UGM. This inter-organizational visit targeted active board members and members from both organizations, serving as a platform for developing participants’ capacity and managerial skills. It is hoped that this activity will foster mutual understanding, synergy between institutions, and improved quality of governance within each organization.
This activity is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 on Quality Education, Goal 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Goal 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17 on Partnerships for the Goals. The collaboration between BEM FH Undip and DEMA Justicia FH UGM reflects a commitment to building inter-institutional networks, strengthening student organization governance, promoting innovation in work programs, and instilling values of justice and active participation among the younger generation. This initiative not only enriches leadership experience but also strengthens the role of students as agents of change for inclusive and sustainable development.
