A delegation from the UGM Faculty of Law, under the auspices of the Constitutional Law Society (CLS), has claimed First Place in the Legislative Drafting Competition at SCIENCESATIONAL 2020, organized by LK2 FH UI under the theme of Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience in Indonesia.
Team Soerjono Soekanto, representing Universitas Gadjah Mada, was supervised by Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M. The team comprised five members: Aditya Halimawan (leader), Alif Duta Hardenta, Gilda Talitha Putri, Annisa Noor Hayati, and M. Anugrah Perdana. The team was formed through an open recruitment and training process under the Constitutional Law Society (CLS) at the UGM Faculty of Law.
The competition, organized by LK2 FH UI in March 2020, was held in two stages. In the preliminary stage, each team submitted a competition file in the form of an Academic Paper and a Draft Bill, which was then submitted to the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, for evaluation by the judges. These scores were used to select the 5 teams that advanced to the final stage. In the final stage, the 5 selected teams presented their proposed draft bills before a panel of 2 expert judges.
This achievement is hoped to serve as a source of motivation for UGM students to strive with renewed enthusiasm for achievement in legal and non-legal fields alike. The entire delegation is deeply grateful and extends its heartfelt thanks for all the support and prayers received, which made it possible to deliver the best possible outcome for their beloved alma mater.
