The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), welcomed a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Tidar, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The activity aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange regarding the development of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based curriculum for the Undergraduate Law Study Program.
This benchmarking visit was part of efforts to strengthen the quality of legal higher education through sharing best practices in curriculum development, learning systems, and academic quality assurance mechanisms. The Universitas Tidar delegation consisted of representatives from department leadership, laboratory management, quality assurance teams, and lecturers from the Undergraduate Law Study Program.
This benchmarking activity aligns with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), through efforts to improve the quality of higher education, develop learning outcome-oriented curricula, and strengthen the capacity of academic institutions. In addition, collaboration between higher education institutions in sharing academic experiences and practices also supports SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strategic partnerships aimed at promoting the development of legal education that is adaptive, innovative, and sustainable.
