Dr. Arvie Johan, S.H., M.Hum., has officially appointed as an Associate Lecturer by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology on 1 December 2024. This inauguration became an important milestone in his academic carrier and also affirming his dedication to a fair and human rights-based tax law education.
Through his new role, Dr. Arvie Johan plans to improve an innovative curriculum that inserting the Human Rights perspective in the tax law study. This approach is aligned with the SDGs, especially with the 4th goal on inclusive and qualified education, and the 16th goal in enforcing a fair, transparent and strong institution. With integrating these values in his teaching and research, Dr. Johan strives to produce law graduates who can become agents of change in the national taxation system.
This inauguration also strengthens the UGM’s position as a higher education institution that committed to the improvement of a legal study that responsive towards social and humanitarian issues. The academic community surely welcomes the positive contribution of Dr. Johan in expanding the legal education horizons to a sustainable social justice.
