Faculty of Law UGM Holds Briefing Meeting Ahead of FIBAA Visitation for Doctoral Program in Law 2025

In order to prepare the academic visitation from International FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) for the Doctoral of Law study program Year 2025, Facility of Law UGM (FH UGM) held a briefing session on Friday (25/4/2025).

This briefing session was divided into 3 sessions and conducted hybrid in Room B.5.4 Faculty of Law UGM and through the Zoom Meeting. The first session was started at 09.00 WIB until 11.00 WIB that attended by several leaders of the faculty and study programs, along with the representatives of the Appropriate Permanent Lecturer (DTPS) and JAMIA FH UGM.

The second session was targeted for the administration staffs and the educator that was conducted from 13.30 until 15.00 WIB. furthermore, the thor decision was involving the students and alumni, conducted from 15.00 until 16.30 WIB.

This event was aimed to provide a knowledge and directions for all supporting elements to make the visitation process can be conducted smoothly. With the collaborative spirit, Faculty of Law UGM hoped that the academic community can fully support this accreditation for an improvement in terms of legal education quality in the global level.

This initiative reflects its alignment with three key goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, SDG 4: Quality Educationwhich is reflected in the Faculty of Law at UGM’s efforts to improve the quality of higher education through international standards, the involvement of the entire academic community, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of doctoral programs. Second, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, yang terlihat dari semangat kolaboratif antara pimpinan, dosen, staf, mahasiswa, dan alumni untuk mendukung proses akreditasi internasional sebagai bagian dari kerja sama global dalam bidang pendidikan. Selain dua tujuan utama tersebut, kegiatan ini secara tidak langsung juga mendukung SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, karena pendidikan hukum yang berkualitas berperan penting dalam membentuk institusi hukum yang kuat dan adil. Dengan demikian, persiapan visitasi FIBAA ini memperlihatkan kontribusi nyata FH UGM terhadap pencapaian beberapa tujuan SDGs, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.
