Doctor of Law Held a FGD to Review The Curriculum

Wednesday (15/1/2025), Doctor of Law Program Faculty of Law UGM (PDIH FH UGM) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to review the curriculum for the Doctor of Law Study Program and adjusting to the national regulations as well as with the internal regulations in Universitas Gadjah Mada.

This event took place in Room B.5.4 of Faculty of Law UGM, and through Zoom Meeting, was attended by several parties, including the Alumni from PDIH FH UGM and the Graduate Users of PDIH from several universities. Not only that, the Quality Assurance and Academic Innovation Unit, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada also attended this forum. This FGD facilitated the discussion to update the curriculum, adjusting it, and ensuring that the PDIH Curriculum was aligned with the the latest developments in legal science at the national and international levels. 

The main topic of this FGD was regarding the evaluation of the Graduates Profile, Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), and the Proposal for the change of the courses and the additional credits. In that discussion, the participants discussed regarding several considerations in designing the curriculum for PDIH FH UGM, including the discussion on the necessity of adding a new course, which is Legal Reasoning for Dissertation, the proposal for changing the amount of credits from 46 to 56, and the modification of names for several courses. 

FGD that was intended for evaluation of the PDIH FH UGM’s curriculum was a form of commitment from PDIH in implementing the 4th goal of SDGs on qualified education with ensuring the quality of PDIH FH UGM’s curriculum to create a graduate profile that experting the philosophy of the scientific field of knowledge and specific skill and able to carry out deepening and expansion of science and technology through research or the creation of original and tested works, in this case in the field of law.
