LLM Program of Faculty of Law and Asia Pacific Master Program in Human Rights and Democracy, Faculty of Social and Political Science of Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with Mahidol University proudly have conducted joint class on Human Rights Norms and Mechanisms. The aims of the class are to improve and deepen student’s knowledge and understanding of human rights norms and mechanisms in specific regional and domestic context, Asia and Indonesian respectively.
The class was held at 4 -28 February 2021 and attended by students came from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia. The convenors of the class were Sri Wiyanti Eddyono PhD (Faculty of Law UGM) and Dr Abdul Gaffar Karim (FISIPOL UGM). Speakers from various backgrounds; NGO, practitioners and academician have shared their knowledge for the discussion on human rights specific issues and the mechanism to advocacy the fulfilment and the protection on vulnerable groups such as women, children, person with disabilities and refugee.
