FH UGM Holds Annual Visit and Pilgrimage as Part of Its 73rd Anniversary Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the traditions held to commemorate the anniversary of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), is the annual visit and pilgrimage. The visit is an opportunity for members of the FH UGM community to maintain ties with retired lecturers, their families, and retired administrative staff. Meanwhile, the pilgrimage involves visiting the graves of former lecturers and administrative staff who have passed away. This year, the activities were carried out by FH UGM lecturers and administrative staff on Thursday, 14 February 2019.<\/p>\n

As part of this year\u2019s visit, the FH UGM community visited the wives of several former lecturers who had passed away, namely Mrs. Rudjiono, wife of the late Rudjiono, S.H., LL.M. (Business Law); Mrs. Bambang Purnomo, wife of the late Prof. Dr. Bambang Purnomo, S.H. (Criminal Law); and Mrs. Sudjono Wiwoho, wife of the late Sudjono Wiwoho, S.H. (Business Law). The visit also included retired administrative staff members, Mr. Kaeran and Mr. Kasidi.<\/p>\n

The pilgrimage began with visits to the graves of the late Prof. Djojodigoeno (Customary Law) at Melati Cemetery, part of the Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Heroes Cemetery Complex, and the late Prof. Iman Sudiyat (Customary Law) at Wijaya Brata Cemetery. The group then visited the graves of the late Prof. Sudikno Mertokusumo (Civil Law), the late Prof. Emmy Panagribuan Simanjuntak (Business Law), and other former FH UGM lecturers at Sawitsari Cemetery. The pilgrimage continued to the graves of other FH UGM lecturers in Sendowo, Kuncen, and Pijenan, as well as the grave of the late Mr. Paerah in Bantul, who was a former administrative staff member of FH UGM.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Sriehadi, AS, S.H., wife of the Dean of FH UGM and chair of the organizing committee for the visit and pilgrimage, emphasized that the achievements enjoyed by FH UGM today cannot be separated from the contributions and struggles of those who came before. Therefore, it is important to remember and honor their contributions through activities such as these. She expressed hope that the annual visit and pilgrimage would serve as a meaningful reflection for FH UGM and inspire the faculty to continue improving in the future. \u2013 SIP<\/p>\n
