\"Sapu<\/a>FAKULTAS HUKUM UGM MENDOMINASI PEROLEHAN JUARA DALAM BRAWIJAYA LAW FAIR 2017<\/u><\/p>\n

Representatives of FH UGM once again achieved outstanding results at the Brawijaya Law Fair 2017, organized by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, from 7\u20139 November 2017. FH UGM won first place in the Legal Opinion Competition, surpassing 10 finalists selected from dozens of participants. The FH UGM team also secured both first and second place in the National Law Debate Competition.<\/p>\n

The 2017 edition marked the eighth Brawijaya Law Fair, carrying the theme \u201cAgrarian Reform: Reconstruction of Policies and Regulations on Natural Resource Management in Indonesia.\u201d The event also featured a national seminar discussing the government\u2019s role in natural resource management. As in previous years, Brawijaya Law Fair 2017 attracted leading universities from across Indonesia, including Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Sebelas Maret, and Universitas Hasanuddin.<\/p>\n

Muhammad Jibril (FH UGM 2014), winner of the Legal Opinion Competition, explained that the competition consisted of two stages: submission of written work and presentation. Participants were challenged to address agrarian issues through written analyses, which were subsequently assessed and examined by a panel of judges. This year\u2019s Legal Opinion Competition focused on \u201cBusiness and Exploration Site Licensing for the Development of a Raw Material Mining Plant,\u201d based on a real case in Degeuwo, Paniai Regency, Papua.<\/p>\n

In the final round of the National Law Debate Competition, held at the Rectorate Building of Universitas Brawijaya, the two FH UGM teams\u2014UGM A, comprising Jovi Andrea Bachtiar (FH UGM 2014), Bagas (FH UGM 2014), and Aris Mundandar (FH UGM 2014), and UGM B, comprising Robi Ginting (FH UGM 2014), Anselmus Pasila Galla (FH UGM 2015), and Bramanda S.S. (FH UGM 2015)\u2014faced each other. UGM B ultimately claimed the Munir Said Thalib Cup.<\/p>\n

Bramanda S.S., one of the delegation members, expressed his gratitude for FH UGM\u2019s strong performance in the competition. He attributed the achievement to the support and solidarity of fellow students, as well as input from FH UGM lecturers. He also appreciated the organizers for highlighting agrarian issues, which he noted are relatively less frequently explored and studied by law students.<\/p>\n

The achievement also continued FH UGM\u2019s success at the previous edition of the competition. At the Brawijaya Law Fair 2016, FH UGM likewise won first place in both the Legal Opinion Competition and the National Law Debate Competition.<\/p>\n
