It was conducted virtually via Zoom Meeting and livestreamed through the FH UGM Knowledge Channel on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The event commenced with welcoming remarks from Prof. Sigit Riyanto, S.H., LL.M., Dean of FH UGM. This was followed by keynote addresses delivered by Prof. Dr. Paripurna Poerwoko Sugarda, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., Vice Rector for Cooperation and Alumni Affairs of UGM, and Dr. Sugeng, Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, who also officially launched the two Islamic economics textbooks.\nDuring the book launch, Dr. Sugeng expressed his hope that the publications would contribute significantly to the development of academic knowledge in Indonesia, particularly for law students. He also noted that both Islamic Economics for Undergraduate Law Programs and Islamic Economics for Graduate Law Programs are accessible through Bank Indonesia\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring distinguished authorities, academics, and practitioners with expertise in their respective fields, the event successfully attracted widespread public interest, with more than 150 participants registering from various regions and professional backgrounds across Indonesia.\nThe webinar, themed \u201cThe Role of Legal Professionals in the Development of Islamic Economics in Indonesia,\u201d featured the following speakers:<br \/>\n1. M. Anwar Bashori, Executive Director of the Islamic Economics and Finance Department, Bank Indonesia;<br \/>\n2. Dr. Khotibul Umam, S.H., LL.M., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada;<br \/>\n3. Prof. Mahfud Sholihin, Ph.D., Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada;<br \/>\n4. Mirza Karim, S.H., LL.M., Legal Practitioner at KarimSyah Law Firm.<br \/>\nThe event lasted approximately three hours, from 1:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), and concluded with a discussion session moderated by Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.<\/p>\n<p>The event lasted approximately three hours, from 1:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), and concluded with a discussion session moderated by Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.\nThis initiative is expected to broaden law students\u2019 perspectives regarding both the expected role and the actual role of legal professionals in the development of Islamic economic law in Indonesia. Through the book launch and seminar, students were encouraged to gain a comprehensive understanding of legal studies related to Islamic economics, as well as the diverse career opportunities available in the sector.
