Classes on Friday, August 7, 2026. Held in person at the Faculty of Law UGM, the workshop aimed to assist students in preparing their final projects. In particular, the workshop sought to strengthen students\u2019 academic research capacities, provide guidance in determining the appropriate type of final project, and offer practical solutions to various challenges encountered during the final project writing process. The workshop featured four speakers: Herliana, S.H., M.Com.Law., Ph.D.; Dr. Mahaarum Kusuma Pertiwi, S.H., M.A., M.Phil.; Nabiyla Risfa Izzati, S.H., LL.M.; and Bernadus Purnawan, S.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The workshop began with a session entitled \u201cHow to Conduct Thesis Supervision,\u201d delivered by Herliana, S.H., M.Com.Law., Ph.D. The session was part of an effort to foster open communication and effective collaboration between students and lecturers throughout the final project writing process. This was followed by a session on \u201cThesis and Journal Article Writing\u201d delivered by Nabiyla Risfa Izzati, S.H., LL.M. The session provided students with further guidance on preparing their final projects, whether as a thesis or as a journal article as an alternative to a thesis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The workshop continued with a session entitled \u201cThesis Writing Issues and How to Address Them,\u201d delivered by Dr. Mahaarum Kusuma Pertiwi, S.H., M.A., M.Phil. The session was designed to help students identify and address various challenges that could potentially hinder the final project writing process at an early stage. In the final session, Bernadus Purnawan, S.S., delivered a presentation on \u201cThe System and Procedures for Proposal Submission, Seminar, and Final Project Examination.\u201d The session provided students with an understanding of the stages and procedures that need to be followed, from submitting a proposal to conducting the seminar and final project examination.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A discussion and question-and-answer session followed the series of presentations. During this session, students had the opportunity to discuss various matters related to the preparation of their final projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The workshop was attended by students of the MIH and LL.M. Programs who were currently taking or planning to take the Thesis course. Through this activity, students were expected to be able to select appropriate research topics for their final projects and prepare their proposals in accordance with legal research methodology and the standards established by the MIH and LL.M. Programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Through the organization of this workshop, the Master of Laws Program of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, reaffirmed its commitment to creating an academic environment that facilitates and encourages students in preparing their final projects.
