The Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) held the Undergraduate Graduation Send-Off Ceremony for Academic Year 2025\/2026 Period III on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The event was led by Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Engagement, and Information Systems, and accompanied by Dr. Khotibul Umam, S.H., LL.M., Head of the Undergraduate Study Program. The ceremony marked the completion of the graduates\u2019 academic journey and the beginning of their contribution as legal professionals to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 87 graduates participated in the ceremony. Among them, 75 graduates earned the Cum Laude distinction, 11 graduates received the Very Satisfactory distinction, and one graduate obtained the Satisfactory distinction. These achievements reflect the academic excellence of FH UGM graduates and demonstrate the students\u2019 commitment to completing their studies with outstanding results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this graduation period, Stephanie Novena Eva Prasetyo and Sri Luqman Hasdha Annisa Ridha were recognized as the Best Graduates, each achieving a remarkable GPA of 3.98. Their accomplishments represent dedication, perseverance, and academic consistency throughout their studies at the Faculty of Law. As one of the top graduates, Sri Luqman Hasdha Annisa Ridha was selected to deliver the valedictory speech on behalf of all graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her remarks, Sri Luqman expressed gratitude for the support provided by her family, lecturers, and the academic community throughout her educational journey. She also encouraged her fellow graduates to uphold integrity, promote justice, and continuously develop their professional and personal capacities in an ever-evolving society. Her message reflected the important role of law graduates in addressing contemporary legal and social challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This graduation ceremony aligns with the Faculty of Law\u2019s commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. Through the provision of high-quality and inclusive legal education, FH UGM strives to produce graduates equipped with strong academic competencies, critical thinking skills, and a deep awareness of societal issues. The significant number of graduates earning academic honors serves as an indicator of the faculty\u2019s success in maintaining educational excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the graduates are expected to contribute to the achievement of SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. As future legal professionals, they carry the responsibility of strengthening the rule of law, expanding access to justice, and supporting transparent and accountable institutions. The knowledge, values, and ethical principles they acquired during their studies will serve as a foundation for creating positive change within society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through this ceremony, FH UGM reaffirms its role as an institution that is committed not only to academic excellence but also to sustainability and social impact. The graduates are expected to become agents of change who embody justice, professionalism, and integrity in their respective fields.
