The Research and Publication Unit (URP) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), organized the Three Minutes Research Competition on Monday (9\/2\/2026) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Room 3.1.1, FH UGM. The competition was attended by 20 recipients of the Student Research Grant Program from both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and was open to the public as part of the Faculty\u2019s commitment to transparency and the dissemination of research findings within the academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition challenged participants to present their research ideas and findings in a concise, systematic, and engaging manner within a three-minute time limit. This format was designed to strengthen participants\u2019 scientific communication skills while ensuring that research outcomes could be understood by a broader audience, including not only academics but also policymakers and other stakeholders. Participants were allowed to compete either individually or in teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the undergraduate level, First Prize was awarded to Rahmah Salsabilla, Rachma Ananda Sulaiman, and Afanin Fariq Fajriya. Second Prize went to Andi Sitti Ainy Nur Alifah and Fitria Amesti Wulandari, while Third Prizewas awarded to Patricia Nerissa Krisna Putri and Markus Togar Wijaya. The Favorite Poster Award was presented to Septi Widiya and Rayhan Alif Syahputra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the postgraduate level, First Prize was awarded to Zahlul Pasha. Second Prize went to Poppy Hairunnisa and Resti Kurnia, while Third Prize was awarded to Muhammad Fajri Zulfi. The Favorite Poster Award in this category was presented to Avika Mauidhotul Khasanah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization of the Three Minutes Research Competition reflects FH UGM\u2019s commitment to fostering an inclusive, competitive, and impactful research culture. The event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening students\u2019 research-based academic capacities. In addition, the competition supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by encouraging innovative legal ideas that respond to contemporary societal developments. It also contributes to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), as the legal research produced by participants has the potential to inform public policy recommendations and support legal reform initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
