On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), through the Legal Consultation and Assistance Centre (Pusat Konsultasi dan Bantuan Hukum\/PKBH held the it Socialization of the 2026 Community Service Grant Program. The event was organized as part of PKBH's commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through concrete community service activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of approximately 75 minutes, the socialization covered a number of important agenda items relating to the implementation of grant schemes over the coming year. The grant schemes discussed included the Lecturer Legal Outreach Grant, Hibah Penyuluhan Hukum Dosen, the Student Legal Outreach Grant, Hibah Penyuluhan Hukum Mahasiswa, the Research Centre Legal Outreach Grant, Hibah Penyuluhan Hukum Pusat Kajian, and the Village Regulation Assistance Grant, Hibah Pendampingan Peraturan Kalurahan. The implementation of these legal outreach grant schemes involves not only academics, but also external partners such as broadcast institutions and government bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event opened with remarks from Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at FH UGM, who emphasized the importance of multi-helix community engagement and its value to society as one of the three core obligations of the academic community. The session continued with a presentation by Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si., Chair of PKBH FH UGM, on the Lecturer, Student, and Research Centre Legal Outreach Grants \u2014 including collaboration with Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pro 2 Yogyakarta and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) Yogyakarta under the scheme detailed at ugm.id\/BukuPanduanPenyuluhan2026,. The legal outreach grant schemes are planned to run from April through December 2026, with a varied program structure that embraces a multiple helix and community service concept \u2014 involving diverse elements of society in addressing relevant contemporary issues. The Q&A session throughout the socialization was productive and focused primarily on technical questions relating to grant implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attended by representatives of autonomous bodies (LO), semi-autonomous bodies (LSO), student communities, and the UGM Faculty of Law Student Association, this socialization represents an effort to optimize the upcoming nine-month cycle of Community Service Grant activities, running from April through December 2026. In upholding the values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, this event is a concrete expression of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) \u2014 specifically SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), through the strengthening of village capacity and broadcasting institutions via outreach programs; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among academics, practitioners, communities, and stakeholders within a community service framework.
