On Thursday (29\/01\/2026), the Faculty of Law of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), in collaboration with the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI), officially launched the 18th Batch of the Special Advocate Profession Education Program (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat\/PKPA) for 2026. The program is organized through the Legal Consultation and Aid Center (PKBH) as part of FH UGM\u2019s concrete commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony of the first PKPA program held by FH UGM in 2026 was attended by representatives from both FH UGM and PERADI. Representing FH UGM were Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si., Head of PKBH UGM, and Annisa Syaufika Yustisia Ridwan, S.H., M.H., Chair of the PKPA XVIII Organizing Committee. Representing PERADI were Dedy Sukmadi, S.H., M.Hum., Vice Chair of the Yogyakarta Branch Executive Board (DPC) of PERADI, and Taufik Tangkas Ukur Purba, S.H. The event was also attended by H. Dhian Ambarsari, S.H., Head of the Women and Children Empowerment Division, and Fajar Kurniawan, S.H., Secretary of PERADI DPC Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PKPA XVIII program will be conducted over a three-week period in a hybrid format, with participants joining from various regions across Indonesia. In total, the program involves 20 instructors from both academia and legal practice, representing FH UGM and PERADI, and consists of 27 instructional sessions. The program is designed to provide aspiring advocates with the professional education necessary to prepare for the Advocate Profession Examination (Ujian Profesi Advokat\/UPA) before their official admission to the legal profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration between FH UGM and PERADI in designing a comprehensive curriculum and engaging highly qualified instructors is expected to serve as a bridge toward delivering a PKPA program that meets high educational and professional standards. Through this initiative, participants are provided with quality learning experiences that combine academic rigor with practical legal expertise.\nFurthermore, PKPA XVIII reflects FH UGM\u2019s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). By equipping future advocates with the knowledge and professional competencies required in legal practice, the program is expected to contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law while also supporting Indonesia\u2019s broader social and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
